The song duo Primevère was founded by Natalia Pegarkova-Barenboim and soprano Sofia Livotov. The duo, named after a song cycle by the French composer and violinist Claire Delbos, is passionate about performing the lesser-known repertoire and always keen to include the music by the forgotten and overlooked composers in their programme. The two musicians got to know each other in 2018 at a concert in the Wismar Town Hall. Their first song recital programme The Genius of Lovers explored the music relationships within two couples – Clara and Robert Schumann and Alma and Gustav Mahler.
